The ancient city Helen of Troy was once just a mythology, but archaeological excavations have brought this to life. Also within reach of port is the Gallipoli Peninsula, where WWI campaign devastated Allied forces.

Gallipoli Guided Tour
Your day in Kepez port, morning starts with a ferry a across the Darnelle to Eceabat. Straits go to the Gallipoli Peninsula. On the way there is a strategic point of contention throughout history.
During WWI the British and Anzac (Australian and New Zealand Army Corps) troops fought againt Turks who were allied with the Germans and Austria-Hungary.
Death Toll of The war
The Allies wanted control of the Straits in order to cut off the oil supply to their enemy. The Gallipoli campaign lasted 249 days. The death toll was huge. 86,000 Turkish forces and more than 160,000 Allied soldiers perished.
The entire Gallipoli peninsula is a national park. Turkish and Allied soldiers are buried side by side in 31 war cemeteries. There are also several important monuments.

Cross back to Canakkale by ferry and enjoy lunch at the charming iris Hotel restaurant located in Guzelyali on the Dardanelles.
Troy Guided tour
After lunch, head to the ancient city Helen of Troy. Due to the strategic location of Troy on the Dardanelles, there are nine civilizations built one on top of the other on this site. It was an active settlement from 3000 B.C. until the time of the birth of Christ.
Troy has been excavated many times by archaeologists the most famous of which was Heinrich Schliemann who was searching for the treasure of Priam, the last King of Troy.
En route back to Canakkale you will stop to see the Gazi Tabyasi, where the biggest connons ever made. The Germans manufactured it and gave it to the Turks in WWI to shell the British ships going through the straits.
Return to Kepez Port after your tour finish.

Booking time is up to availability – but generally up to 7 days prior to the tour date. If you desire to book within 4-5 days of the tour date, we may be able to help – but we ask you that please call our experienced sales team to inform you about those bookings.

Do I have to pay full amount or Pay some deposite?
If you reserve your shore trip with some deposite that will be possible. But you will be prompted to pay the balance due 15 days before the departure. If you prefer to pay in full at the time of purchase, you may do so as well.
All bookings made within 4-months of departure will be charged in full at the time of purchase. But remember you have until 15 days before the date of your excursion to cancel for a full refund.

when you book your tours, you will receive confirmation of your booking in 24 hours time. Your vouchers with tour time and meeting points information will be emailed to you as a pdf file, approximately one month before your departure date. If you make your booking within a month of departure, your vouchers will be emailed as a pdf file to you within approximately 72 hours of booking.
